Its ages since I have last been on here and everything has changed grrrrr. Karen has contacted me about the Senols family, so I hope she finds her way here and can check what I have. Welcome Karen. As I think I have already put we are not related to the Senols but Amelia Senols married Isaac Wilcockson, they had no children and I have a soft spot for childless couples if we do not include them in our trees they won't be on anyones tree. And Isaac and Amelia I think lived an interesting life.
For Karen, Isaac was born into a Quaker family in Preston. When Quakers moved from one meeting area to another they would take a certificate with them (national archive site) and so we know that Isaac went to London in 1804. We also know he was disowned by the Quakers in 1815, at that time Quakers were meant to marry other Quakers. I like to think he must have loved Amelia. Isaac lived in the posh part of Preston, published a newspaper was involved with the civic life in Preston, and had various business interests. So I wondered if Amelia had fetched a dowry with her when they married and also they are missing from the 1841 census, were they visiting Amelia's relatives? At the moment I don't think Amelia had a fortune and Isaac and Amelia are still missing in 1841. Did the use of the names Amelia and Isaac indicate that they had contact with Amelia's family in London?
Karen do you know there is a photograph of Amelia in a published book.

From the oldbailey website, Elizabeth Farrell stole a stove from James Senols of Fore-street Cripplegate. Date of trial 29 May 1816.
Newspaper extracts, I get confused as to which Senols they apply to so I will just copy them all under this James, his son first married in 1816, some just refer to Mr. What they show is that the family were involved in bankruptcy something which I don't quite understand as it seems that they continued working. But this is the reason I do not think Amelia brought a dowry with her.
I include this article because it might be relevant from the oil point of view.

This completes the research I have done on the Senols family.
Suggestions for further research if it were my tree, to look at the Ball family, the Collinson family and the Dryland family. And to find out more about the marriage of Henry in 1741.
I have probably made mistakes, so if you are using this information it is a good idea to check it for yourself. If you do find a mistake I don't mind being corrected.
There is also this mystery.

I think Sarah was related to Thomas Ball Senols wife, Jane. From info about the will, online Thomas mentions his wife's sisters Mary Godfrey and Sarah Godfrey, presumably one of these was married to William and their daughter was Sarah Senols Godfrey. Sarah was with Jane in 1841.
